Rigoberto Santana - Detailed Training Pioneer

The inspirational tale of Rigoberto Santana's accomplishment and metamorphosis. Rigoberto Santana's 20-year journey in the auto care industry is the most vivid testament to passion and perseverance. Santana began his work as a car wash attendant but quickly realized he needed a more fulfilling and sustainable employment path. That motivated him to become a professional detailer.

After enrolling in the International Detailing Association's (IDA) first training session in 2010, Santana was granted founder membership status. After obtaining his certification as a Certified Detailer (CD) from the IDA four years later, he was given the esteemed chance to detail Air Force One at the Seattle Museum.

In 2015, he detailed a vintage Jaguar XK 140 for the Pebble Beach Concours and the Marine One Helicopter at the Richard Nixon Museum, which sent his career into overdrive. In 2016, he became the Latino Trainer for P&S and introduced the first 5-day detailing training and IDA-certified Detailer course in Spanish in the United States.

His career highlights include detailing at the Indianapolis 500 Speedway Museum in 2019 and being featured on "Competition Ready" in 2017. He also founded New Generation Detailers in 2018. In 2020, he became a Master Trainer for SONAX and provided training to Peterson Museum personnel.

In 2022, Santana oversaw the New Generation team at SEMA, and in 2023, she taught Steven Thompson, the youngest qualified detailer. In 2024, he conducted detailed instruction worldwide in El Salvador and founded the nonprofit organization New Generation Kids, which will impart detailed knowledge to the next generation.

Now, Rigoberto continues to write his new chapter with New Generation Detailers, keeping the fire alive and spreading fire with his passion and dedication to detailed training.

Most importantly, our success and influence are demonstrated through our students' successes. They can continue to write their story with professionalism and a deep understanding of details, always working with passion and dedication, which is our greatest success and influence. One of the clear witnesses is Steven Thompson III, who started training at 11 and is proof of the blazing fire that inspires passion for the detailing field.
